The 295th recipient is Tania Johnson-Hester of Saltcatcher Farms @saltcatcherfarms in St. Bamberg, SC:

What self-care and well-being mean to me as a farmer: “Self-care and well-being for me means being able to connect and relax in nature without worrying about meeting planting deadlines and worrying about sales. It's being able to sit and commune with plants and nature for fun; stretch my body, dance, get my feet in the soil and just be, so I can be prepared for when days are long and hard.”
How I might use this $100 self-care award: “I would use it to take an aerial yoga class so I can stretch and move my body in non-repetitive ways to reduce stress and potential for injury at work.”
Most important self-care needs that contribute to my well-being as a farmer: “Honestly being able to take a breath and not worry when a natural disaster strikes. To know that people understand when I can't meet a deadline for things outside of my control.”
