What self-care and well-being mean to me as a farmer: “Self care to me is relaxing after a day of seeding, planting or harvesting.  Taking sometime to relax my mind and body. Rather it be yoga, pilates, sauna, rest, light therapy, hot bath, grounding myself while enjoying a picnic, getting a massage or just soaking my feet.”

How I might use this $100 self-care award: ”I would go to a spa for a day of relaxing my body. Farming will take a toll on your body if you’re not taking care of it. Muscle soreness and body aches that also from aging.”

Most important self-care needs that contribute to my well-being as a farmer: "My mental health!!! If I’m not mentally okay I find myself not as productive. Being physical is a big part of farming!! We have to take care of our mind and bodies.”
