The 547th recipient is Stephanie Bowers of Glorious Goat Ranch in Greenleaf, WI. Stephanie writes:

What self-care and well-being mean to me as a farmer: “In the context of farming and ranching, self care is the ability to recognize and practice an action or activity that contributes to well-being.”
How I might use this $250 self-care award: ”I would use the award for deep tissue massages to help rejuvenate my body from the stress and strains (mental and physical) of ranch work. ”
Most important self-care needs that contribute to my well-being as a farmer: "Farming is hard. There are hard, hard days. There are also days of tremendous joy. I personally have experienced the health benefits and healing offered by deep tissue massage, but this is a luxury many farmers (including myself) struggle to economically justify.”
