What self-care and well-being mean to me as a farmer: “Self-care means that I am mentally, emotionally, and physically at peace and can focus on the day, weekly and monthly tasks on the farm. If all my self-care and well-being are in balance, then we are able to accomplish more in those time frames than when I am stressed and that's when productivity and moral go downhill fast on the farm.”

How I might use this $100 self-care award: “I would schedule a 60-minute full body massage, with a local masseuse, and with the left over treat myself to a nice dinner or breakfast at a local diner.”

Most important self-care needs that contribute to my well-being as a farmer: "Massages and chiropractic care to me are the most important, as farmers we are hard on our bodies and we seem to carry a lot of tension around especially if things are going according to plan, and with the economy so uncertain right now we are stressed more than ever.”
