The 610th recipient is Nick Riggin of Riggin Farm in Talking Rock, GA. Nick writes:

What self-care and well-being mean to me as a farmer: “Self-care in farming means giving the farmer the same care we give the crops and animals. It’s pausing long enough to breathe in the pasture air, eating a meal we grew ourselves, or watching the sunset with no tools in hand. Those small moments keep my body strong, my mind clear, and my spirit ready to keep feeding my community. Just like soil needs rest to stay fertile, a farmer needs rest to keep farming well.”
How I might use this $100 self-care award: ”With $100, I would book a deep-tissue massage to release the months of knots and strain that build up from long days in the field, helping me return to the farm with more energy and less pain.”
Most important self-care needs that contribute to my well-being as a farmer: "The most important self-care need for me as a farmer is physical recovery. Long days of lifting, bending, and working in all weather take a toll on my body, which in turn affects my focus and energy. Prioritizing pain relief, muscle recovery, and reducing physical strain keeps me healthy enough to keep doing the work I love. A deep-tissue massage or other targeted bodywork would make the biggest impact relieving chronic tension, improving mobility, and helping me show up every day with strength and stamina.”
