The 320th recipient is Lissa Goldstein of Wild Work Farm @wildworkfarm in Keene Valley, NY. Lissa writes:

What self-care and well-being mean to me as a farmer: “Self-care for me as a business owner, means taking care of my needs so that I can be the best employer possible. As my business matures, I believe self-care becomes a higher priority and I do a better job of it. However, I recognize that falling short for my employees is usually an indicator of unmet needs on my end whether this is free time, body works, a mental break, or a vacation.”
How I might use this $100 self-care award: “I would likely use the award for bodywork or a meal out. I am in my last weeks of my second pregnancy and this season has been tough! Soon I will have more beings to care for.”
Most important self-care needs that contribute to my well-being as a farmer: “Creating space for myself to do non farm-related things is the most important. As a sole business owner it can be hard to get a mental break. Things like massage, dinner out and time away (or just paying someone to cover a weekend of chores!) can be super helpful.”
