The 470th recipient is Kiana Sinner of Little Lupine Farm in Rochester, WA. Kiana writes:

What self-care and well-being mean to me as a farmer: “I think we like to view self care as special treatment that gives one a physical/mental boost, but in reality to me self care is self preservation. It's the act of putting one foot in front of the other and can be as simple as remembering to drink water or making time for mental clarity.”
How I might use this $100 self-care award: “I would use the $100 award to purchase a couple new books that I can enjoy reading in my down time. This is one of my favorite self care activities that often gets put on the back shelf.”
Most important self-care needs that contribute to my well-being as a farmer: "I think everyone could and should benefit from therapy. Also, farming is physically demanding and supporting one’s body is critical to preserving its health. Massage, body treatments, chiropractic work are all critical!”
