What self-care and well-being mean to me as a farmer: “Physical self-care is paramount. Staying flexible and strong is a necessity. Keeping sun protection in stock. Healing bumps and bruises. However for me, reducing isolation is of key importance for mental health. Seeing friends or taking a small trip.”
How I might use this $100 self-care award: “I would likely use some of it to soak at our local hot springs. In addition I need some new boots and some would go towards securing those come spring.”
Most important self-care needs that contribute to my well-being as a farmer: “Rest, the time to be able to rest your body and your mind. There is always something to weed and something to stress about. Finding a moment of peace.”
