What self-care and well-being mean to me as a farmer: “Self-care for me means taking care of my body so that I can continue to do the labor intensive work that our farm requires. I have a regular chiropractor and would like to start going to a massage therapist if awarded this grant. Sustainability in this work means caring for ourselves so that we can continue to care for our land and crops.”
How I might use this $100 self-care award: “I am hoping to use to award to fund a massage therapy appointment. My muscles do get tight and sometimes pain I experience prevents me from completing tasks around the farm in a timely manner. I would like to care for my muscles so I can continue my work at the farm in less pain.”
Most important self-care needs that contribute to my well-being as a farmer: “Right now, my most important self-care needs are body work. I would like to get into a routine of massage and potentially acupuncture. If my body is in pain it makes the daily tasks difficult.”
