The 377th recipient is Hannah Moles of Odorata Herbs in Blodgett, OR. Hannah writes:

What self-care and well-being mean to me as a farmer: “Self-care is when you fully allow your body to go into rest and digest mode. When you allow yourself to enter the state of rest, you resist burnout building up in the body!”

How I might use this $100 self-care award: “I would book a massage with a local masseuse. I suffer from sciatica and chronic tailbone pain and her massages help reduce the pain greatly!”

Most important self-care needs that contribute to my well-being as a farmer: "Engaging with ways to help reduce chronic pain (that degrades my quality of life both on and off the farm) is the most important self-care act for me.”
