The 388th recipient is Halima Salazar of Justevia Teas in Hernando, MS. Halima writes:

What self-care and well-being mean to me as a farmer: “One of the things that I experience as a farmer, especially one that is older in age, is how it is a back breaking experience. As the season has just ended I think of going to a chiropractor as a form of self care as well as a form of getting the opportunity to keep my body right so I can keep doing what I'm doing.”
How I might use this $100 self-care award: “I will schedule an appointment to get a few sessions in this winter with a chiropractor, so that I can prepare my lower back with opportunity to go back to work in the spring.”
Most important self-care needs that contribute to my well-being as a farmer: "Self care involves, my body being healthy, paying someone a fee to spend a few days on my farm, so that I can travel to visit friends and relatives. Also, so that I can visit other farms that I need to get inspiration from and get to break bread with people who are as like minded as I am.”
