What self-care and well-being mean to me as a farmer: “I envision a world where everyone working in agriculture feels seen, valued, connected, healthy and fulfilled. Agriculture is a very difficult field and farmers should prioritize stress reduction, and farmer well-being by connecting with members of our own community who understand the challenges that the agriculture industry faces.”
How I might use this $100 self-care award: “I would use the award to take our community and neighborhood farmers to lunch. A shared meal with farmers and ranchers is a way to show our appreciation for the folks that are working hard to feed the world.”
Most important self-care needs that contribute to my well-being as a farmer: “Since access to care may be limited for rural communities, mental health services and financial resources for farmers would help immensely.”
