What self-care and well-being mean to me as a farmer: “Self-care and well-being in the context of farming means taking care of your body and mind so that I can continue to perform at a job I love. This means getting proper rest (at least 8 hours of sleep a night) and taking the time to feed myself and my family nutrient dense foods to stay healthy and help heal any injuries or aches and pains that naturally come when working on a mid scale vegetable farm.”

How I might use this $100 self-care award: ”I would use the award to purchase locally raised meats and eggs to supplement the organic vegetables that we produce.”

Most important self-care needs that contribute to my well-being as a farmer: "The most important self-care needs that would contribute most are being able to purchase locally raised eggs, dairy, and proteins.”
