The 446th recipient is Christine Terramane of Eureka Organic Farm in Springfield, VT. Christine’s friend writes:

What self-care and well-being mean to me as a farmer: “I am submitting the application on behalf of my friend, Christine, who works year-round on her organic farm in our small community in Springfield, VT. To me, self-care and well-being for our farmers and food workers are vital to our community systems and to our health, individually and as a whole.”
How I might use this $100 self-care award: “I would hope Christine would take the $100 reward and use it towards something that gives her a moment of peace and rest amidst the busy, exhausting farm work that takes up her day to day. Perhaps a massage, day trip with her kids, or a dinner out with her husband who also works on the farm.”
Most important self-care needs that contribute to my well-being as a farmer: "I think talk therapy, exercise in whatever form each individual prefers, relaxing physical treatments such as massage or chiropractic, and time away from the farm to mentally reset and get inspired.”
