The 369th recipient is Charlotte Hughes of North Shore AgroEcology Center in Finland, MN. Charlotte writes:

What self-care and well-being mean to me as a farmer: “Taking care of your body and mind so you can continue to care for the bodies and minds of your community through growing healthy food!”

How I might use this $100 self-care award: “I have developed back problems, so this would help me see a chiropractor or get a massage and get tips on how to strengthen my body to avoid further damage long term.”

Most important self-care needs that contribute to my well-being as a farmer: "Having community to support you throughout the ups and downs of farming, and creating a work environment centered around safety and care so people prioritize their well-being while doing physical farm work.”
