The 390th recipient is Carina Lavin of Farm and Food Lab in Irvine, CA. Carina writes:

What self-care and well-being mean to me as a farmer: “Taking time to care for my body and mental health. Farming can be physically taxing on the body so taking time to stretch and massages. As well as seeking forms of therapy to deal with climate anxiety.”

How I might use this $100 self-care award: “I would use it to pay for some chiropractor appointments to help reduce lower back pain issues.”

Most important self-care needs that contribute to my well-being as a farmer: "Access to therapy, massage, acupuncture and many other healing modalities that are not covered by insurance.”
