The 318th recipient is Alanah Lawrason of Foggy Hill Farm @foggyhillfarm in Langley, WA. Alanah writes:

What self-care and well-being mean to me as a farmer: “A farmer being able to take care of themselves like they care of their farm. By taking care of themselves they can better serve their staff and community. It should be easier rather than harder for a farmer to care for themselves.”
How I might use this $100 self-care award: “I would use it towards a massage or for a retreat off the farm to care for my body and brain.”
Most important self-care needs that contribute to my well-being as a farmer: “An activity off farm to nourish my body and mind. A monetary contribution towards said thing would allow for it to feel more guilt free. Especially as a solo female farmer whose livelihood depends on her farm.”
