What self-care and well-being mean to me as a farmer: “Self-care looks like having the continued physical ability to continue farming. Your body is your temple as well as when farming your most valuable tool. I'm currently struggling with Lyme's disease and its giving me joint problems and more sensitivity to cold than I ever have dealt with before. Self care looks like working with my body to empower it to continue to be out in the elements I love so much.”

How I might use this $100 self-care award: “ I plan to use the money to buy a nice warm pair of long underwear and some warm leather work gloves to better help me work in the cold.”

Most important self-care needs that contribute to my well-being as a farmer: "The most important self care need I have is to buy warm work gear for the winter. It's supposed to be the coldest winter it's been in a while and right now my wardrobe is under prepared.”
