What self-care and well-being mean to me as a farmer: “It means making sure I take the time to recover and recharge my mind, body, and spirit regularly so I can keep doing what I do best. Examples of this are meditation, mobility work, self massage, going camping, seeing friends, and reminding myself I am more than just a farmer. Little thing regularly go way farther than putting life on pause so you can catch up.”
How I might use this $100 self-care award: “I would use it to help get a massage to help my lower back before the season amps up again in spring.”
Most important self-care needs that contribute to my well-being as a farmer: “The most beneficial would be having the time and energy to be away from the farm more often. Things like getting professional farm help and leaning down our systems.”
