Kara writes, “I’ve always loved nature and plants and working with animals so farming felt like such natural calling. After a year apprenticeship at a local farm, my partner and I started Full Moon Farm near Boone, NC. Every single day I feel meaningful purpose growing produce for local food banks, restaurants, and community folks. Self care for my body and mind means I can keep working as a farmer for years to come. This is my 6th season and I’m feeling better than ever because I prioritize massage, stretching, meditation and therapy. Every farmer deserves therapeutic care, whatever that means for them!”
