The 459th recipient is Dominique Frink of Lion's Tooth Farm in Windsor, MA. Dominique writes:

What self-care and well-being mean to me as a farmer: “Self-care is extremely important for mental and physical health. For me, self-care means having a time to do something not work related. This would mean something fun and or relaxing.”
How I might use this $100 self-care award: “As a farmer it is really important to have some downtime. As much as I love my job it is also important to take a break sometimes. My favorite way to do this is to do crafts. The specific type of crafts I enjoy tend to still be farm related and made using farm products. But it is an important much needed relaxation time for me.”
Most important self-care needs that contribute to my well-being as a farmer: "The most important self-care need I have is the need to have some relaxation time. For me this means a small craft in the evening after a hard day of farming. Ideally a craft that can be built upon each day or week.”
