What self-care and well-being mean to me as a farmer: “To me, self care and well being means the ability to juggle all of the tasks that have been taken on during a season without physically, mentally, or emotionally overdoing it. To lean on others for support, regardless of the size of the matter. Because in farming, we don't harvest alone.”

How I might use this $100 self-care award: ”For us, it is a good cup of coffee or tea on a cold morning. It signifies the ability to rally together, plan out our day, and mentally settle in to the endeavors at hand.”

Most important self-care needs that contribute to my well-being as a farmer: "As a farmer, the most important self-care is one's mental health. If you are overwhelmed, stressed, or unable to see the path forward, the magic cannot happen.”
