What self-care and well-being mean to me as a farmer: “Taking the time and space to rest and assess how I'm feeling before strain turns into injury or burnout, as well as saving some energy to get out and do restorative activities in nature on off days. Daily yoga practice, taking time to cook healthy meals to sustain myself every day, and taking time for my own interests outside of the farm all contribute to my well-being.”

How I might use this $100 self-care award: “Getting myself a sports massage or spa day to start the next season off on the right foot.”

Most important self-care needs that contribute to my well-being as a farmer: "Having the energy at the end of the day or on the weekends to keep up with my own hobbies and personal to do lists. Tending to physical strains, a case of sciatica from a first season repetitive injury has been acting up in limiting ways this year and should be tended to in a restorative setting. Right now just looking forward to the long holiday break for a hard reset.”
