She writes, “Farming is not just my job but it is more so a vortex that allows me to conduct so much healing on many levels - starting with myself first. After my mother was murdered, when I layed my mother’s body in the earth, the earth literally became my mother. So, through farming I get to commune and heal with my ancestors while getting to heal momma earth while producing healing foods for my community. Farming for me is just healing all around. I find freedom in reimagining a food system and allowing myself to create a realm in which I can make a food system better. It’s reimagining what can be; those are the seeds we want to plant for our children.” #realfarmercare #ambertamm
